Basketball Historical and Awards Coordinator
(VOLUNTEER POSITION)
 

Basketball WA is looking for a basketball enthusiast who would be keen in helping develop a Historical and Awards Committee and to also assist the Board with:

• Planning, documenting, presenting and celebrating the history of the Sport within WA.
• Advising on matters relating to the History of Basketball in WA and the communication to member clubs/associations.
• Advising the BWA Board of worthy recipients of awards within and outside the Basketball industry, specifically Basketball Australia, NBL and BWA awards.
• Developing a list of potential Award Winners including the researching of major contributors at association level.
• Developing a plan for the prioritisation of projects and tasks that currently could be completed as part of the recording and celebrating the history of the sport.

The individual would need to have necessary knowledge, experience and/or interest in the planning, documenting, marketing and celebrating the history of basketball.

This is a volunteer position, however, reimbursement of expenses will be made in approved circumstances.
