Employment Opportunity: MBA Operations Manager

The Mandurah Basketball Association are looking to employ an Operations Manager to run the daily operations of the associations business. The role is currently vacant and the MBA is looking to fill the role in the very short term. This role is currently responsible for the general day to day workings of the MBA and the supervision of a Development Officer (currently employed by MBA).

Duties will include but are not limited to the attached job description and some following attributes:

  • Hard working honest and reliable.
  • Able to work in a team environment and with volunteer Board Members and MBA members.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to supervise and delegate staff and key stakeholders.
  • Be highly organised and to be able to plan efficiently.
  • An understanding of the game of Basketball is preferred but not essential.
  • Basic book keeping and accounting with MYOB experience is preferred but not essential.
  • High level of understanding of electronic media (Face Book and Website) is essential along with the ability to carry out some promotional graphics.
  • Some hours may be required during weekends in relation to our Summer Domestic Competition, time in lieu would be offered.
  • The MBA has not set a salary and will consider this on the basis of the applicants experience and skills.

The MBA is looking for the right applicant for this position as the role will be expanded in 2017 with the new basketball complex being completed in approximately April 2017.
