EXECUTIVE OFFICER
WANNEROO BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION
Following the announcement of the impending retirement of our longstanding administration team, the Wanneroo Basketball Association is seeking to appoint an Executive Officer to drive the next phase of growth of its highly successful operation.
As one of the largest Basketball Associations in Western Australia, preparing for relocation to a new purpose built facility in 2017, the role of Executive Officer will be instrumental in the ongoing success of the Wanneroo Basketball Association.
This hands-on autonomous role will provide the successful candidate with the ability to drive the implementation of a range of strategic objectives, and provide leadership in the organisations pursuit a wide range of revenue growth opportunities. As the Executive Officer you will run the day to day business operations, administer competitions and manage stakeholder relationships.
We seek a dynamic leader, with the ability to develop sound strategic plans and demonstrate success in the pursuit of organisational objectives. Your commercial acumen will be matched by your skill in identifying and capitalising on strategic business partnerships, finding innovative cost effective solutions and applying a progressive approach to the management of a not for profit sporting organisation. You will need to demonstrate a successful track record in managing and growing like-minded organisations.
As the successful candidate you will be provided with a blank canvas from which to grow the organisation. With a new home soon to be under construction, you will be responsible for driving the Association through this period of change – with your strategic planning and innovation ensuring that the Association will survive and prosper in its new environment. New structures, programs and approaches are open for consideration – with your drive and vision critical to their successful implementation.

Desirable Qualifications/Prior Experience
This is a full time position of 38 hours over a 7 day week, dependant on the activities of the organisation from time to time. Due to the nature of the position and the Industry, weekend work and extended hours may be required. An attractive remuneration package, with the potential of a performance based incentive, will be offered to the successful candidate. DEVELOPMENT AND PARTICIPATION OFFICER (CASUAL)
WANNEROO BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION
Wanneroo Basketball Association, one of the largest Basketball Associations in Western Australia, is seeking to appoint a casual Development and Participation Officer to implement a range of skill development and participation programs on behalf of the Association.
This role will suit an autonomous self-starter, who is motivated to drive the implementation of a suite of new programs on behalf of the Association. The hours worked will be directly related to your ability to successfully establish these new programs. At all times the successful candidate will be driven by the objectives of developing a high performance culture for those children who want to represent the Wolves in elite competition and to increase the participation of casual basketballers within the Association. As the Development Officer you will be responsible for all aspects of the new programs including program establishment, administration, budget management and implementation.
We seek a well credentialed basketball coach, who is excited by the blank canvas that they will be provided. You will need to demonstrate a successful track record in working within a like-minded basketball environment.
Core Competencies
This is a casual position, with hours to work reflective of the programs that are implemented.
