Management Accountant (Part Time: 2-3 Days per week – Position 1008-1)

An outstanding opportunity has now become available to work for Basketball WA. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this senior management position will be responsible for the financial governance of Basketball WA. This exciting and challenging role will involve:

The provision of support and advice to the CEO in preparing and reviewing business plans and budgets, capital expenditure and investment projects and financial protocols, policies and procedures.

  • Analysis and preparation of financial reports for management and board of directors.
  • Supervision of all aspects of the accounting functions (including staff) of Basketball WA.

This position is well suited to a creative and organised thinker who is a “self starter”, has an abundance of energy and has excellent leadership and management skills. Excellent relationship building and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to produce high quality documentation and achieve desired outcomes within a specified timeframe.

The successful candidate must show a thorough understanding of accounting reports and the ability to extract information from those reports to produce meaningful information to management.

An in-depth knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office products (especially Excel) is essential.

Degree qualifications are an Accounting Major. (CA/CPA qualifications desired but not essential).
