Basketball WA is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Nexus Airlines which will focus on supporting BWA’s regional development team and referee travel for events in our regional areas with the aim to help facilitate basketball for every community.
Nexus Airlines are Western Australia’s newest regional airline, who fly throughout the North and Mid West, including locations such as the Kimberley, Perth, Geraldton, Karratha, Port Hedland and Broome.
Basketball WA Chief Executive Officer Fabian Ross said partnering with Nexus Airlines was a key connection piece to deliver basketball to the regions.
“At Basketball WA we are always looking at ways we can build connection across this vast state of Western Australia, and by partnering with Nexus we are able to extend our basketball capabilities and reach to more areas.” Ross said.
“Nexus is a well-respected and award-winning airline and we are proud to be partnering with a company so connected to local communities.
”Nexus Airlines will also support the NBL1 West Picture Perfect Play each round this season, which highlights the great images of players taking flight in the league, by local photographers.
In conjunction with the NBL1 West, Nexus Airlines is also offering an incredible opportunity for one lucky basketball fan to win a “Trip to Geraldton”. The prize includes: Flights, accommodation, a day trip, and tickets to an NBL1 West Geraldton Buccaneers game.
