Basketball WA is calling for interested referees to nominate for this year’s 2013 National Referee Development Program (NRDP).

The NRDP will once again be led by experienced and current referee mentors David Bull and Damian Lyons and is seen as an important platform for elite referee development for WA officials.

The program will help prepare selected referees to understand and learn the skills required in order to become a National League referee in future years. The select group will meet together during the year to cover curriculum content and discuss current issues as part of their referee development.

A Basketball Australia initiative, there may also be an opportunity for select candidate/s to go to  the annual National Referee Development Camp at the AIS along with other state representatives from across Australia later in the year.

Referees of the highest quality are encouraged to apply for the program. A minimum Level 1 Association Representative Referee Accreditation is required. Experience in SBL or National Junior Championships is preferred but not mandatory.
