2015 State Team Program Announcements

Basketball WA is pleased to announce the appointment of its Head Coaches for the U20 Men’s and Women’s State Team Programs for 2015.

Brad Samuelson (Rockingham) returns for his second year in charge of the men. A coach with a vast amount of experience at State, SBL and WABL level, Samuelson will be looking to improve on his 2014 team’s 5th place at the U20 Nationals held in Kalamunda.

Ryan Petrik (Rockingham) has had a great deal of success the past 2 years with the Rockingham SBL Women’s team, winning the SBL title in 2013 and being runner-up in 2014. This is the first time that Ryan will Head Coach at a National Championships, however given his previous success, Basketball WA believes he will do a great job.

Basketball WA wishes both coaches all the best with their preparations. State trials for both Men and Women will be held on Sunday 19 October at Cockburn’s Wally Hagan Stadium from 9am to 11.30am.

These coaching appointments come with the announcement that registrations for all 2015 State team trials have now opened.
