FRIENDSHIP GAMES PRESALE INFORMATION
After the World Championships, old rivals and overseas challengers descend on Perth for the inaugural Friendship Games basketball tournament.
The Friendship Games commence on Friday the 17th of September and conclude Sunday the 19th as we present two games each evening for one low ticket price.
Perth Wildcats coach Rob Beveridge is looking forward to unleashing his championship team against the newly reformed Sydney Kings.
The Perth Wildcats have historically had a fierce rivalry with the Kings prior to their departure from the league in 2008, which included a Championship loss at the hands of the Kings in 2002/03.
Chinese rivals the Beijing Ducks and Shanghai Sharks round out the four teams for three-day tournament in the intimate setting of the WA Basketball Centre.
The Ducks are bringing to Perth seven-foot-nine (2.36m) big man Sun Ming Ming to dominate the four-team showcase of international talent. Sun also starred in a fight scene towering over Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker in Rush Hour 3.
Shanghai Sharks are best known as the Club that developed NBA player Yao Ming and winning the CBA Championship with Yao in 2001.
