Basketball WA is pleased to announce that Adam Forde has been appointed to the role of Development Manager with Basketball WA, effective from 29 August 2011.

Adam will take over from Vanessa Lock who finishes with Basketball WA on 26 August.

Adam has been employed as a Development Officer with Basketball WA for the past six months and during this time, has shown a genuine appetite and aptitude to step up to higher levels of sport administration.

Adam, who has worked closely with Vanessa over the past six months in enhancing all aspects of our successful Association Cup program and associated school visits, is a natural successor for the role.

Whilst bringing an outstanding work ethic and good administrative skills to the position, Adam is also an accredited Level Two Basketball Coach and Coaching Course presenter with Basketball WA.

The component of the Development Officer role which involved numerous school visits will be filled by casual employees. As such, a full time replacement Development Officer will not be sought at this time.
