BASKETBALL WA APPOINTS TRUDI CHESTERTON TO THE FINANCE RISK & AUDIT COMMITTEE.

Basketball WA wishes to advise the members that after a significant external recruitment process the Board has appointed Trudi Chesterton to the BWA Finance Risk and Audit Committee. Trudi will be one of the two independent members of the committee providing guidance and counsel to management and the Board.

Trudi has a Bachelor of Commerce from the Australian National University and a Master of Business Administration (Deakin University), with a career that began as a Chartered Accountant and subsequently has seen her work in operational and financial / commercial roles across a variety of industries including mining services, utilities, retail and labour hire.

Trudi is currently the National General Manager of Bullivants within the Westfarmers Industrial and Safety portfolio, and as well as holding a couple of non-executive director positions is also a Technical Official for the National Basketball League. Trudi has a long-term interest in basketball and has been on the Technical Official Committee since 2007.

Trudi’s appointment is an annual appointment until the first Board meeting after the 2024 AGM.
