Boomers meet WABL Players

The Australian Boomers have spent the past two days at the WABC meeting local WABL players as they prepare to enter their week long camp starting June 2.

On Saturday local product Luke Nevill spent some time at the WABC and spent some time filming for a Sino-Australia promotion…..stay tuned for that!

On Sunday local product Cameron Gliddon joined fellow Boomers Mitch Norton & Clint Steindl at the WABC to meet Perry Lakes Hawks and Perth Redbacks WABL players.

The team enters lockdown on Sunday afternoon as they enter a week-long closed camp at the WABC ahead of their series against China.

Make sure you’re at the WA Basketball Centre on Sunday 9 June to watch game two of the series and you’ll get to meet the whole team post-game for photos & autographs! Tickets are almost sold-out so get yours now through Ticketmaster by clicking here

You’ll have two more opportunities to catch the Boomers in the community on Tuesday 4 June. In the morning the team will head out to four local primary schools (City Beach, Rosalie, Mosman Park and Rossmoyne). The Boomers players will run some clinics with four lucky Association Cup Schools from the Term One Basketball WA Association Cup Program.

In the evening Basketball WA will be hosting a Coaches Clinic with Boomers Head Coach Andrej Lemanis. All interested coaches can attend and watch the last hour of the Boomers closed training session. Andrej will then run a one hour coaching clinic. For full details and to register click here.

Make sure you say hello to the team if you’re around the WABC this week and you happen to see them around!
