Announcement – BWA Announces Departure of CEO 

 

Perth, Western Australia – The Board of Directors of Basketball WA announces today that Rob Clement has decided to step down as the Chief Executive Officer after eight years of dedicated service to the Association.

During his tenure, Rob has made significant contributions to Basketball WA and has played a crucial role in the growth and development of basketball across the state. Under his leadership, the sport has experienced a surge in popularity and increased participation.

Rob was responsible for the successful rebranding of the SBL to the NBL1 West league, which has helped to elevate the profile of basketball in the state and attract new fans to the sport. He has also worked tirelessly to build strong relationships with stakeholders, sponsors, and community organizations, ensuring that basketball continues to thrive in the state.

“Over the last eight years, Rob has been an integral part of the success of Basketball WA, and we are deeply grateful for his contributions to the organisation and the sport of basketball,” said Fiona Notley, Chair of the Board. “We wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”
