Basketball WA together with Communicare and the Perth Redbacks, have for the last few weeks been running a Youth Basketball Program at the Belmont Oasis. The program is targeted at kids, of all skill levels, from the age of 6 – 18 years old.
 
The program uses a game sense approach where kids get to play and have fun, whilst still learning the fundamentals of the game of basketball. The sessions have been conducted by New Zealand’ s National Women’s Coach Kennedy Kereama and the Perth Redbacks’ Gary Prior.
 
At the moment the Program is on a break and will resume after the current school holidays. The last two session will be held on the May 4 and 11, at the Belmont Oasis Leisure Centre from 4:30pm – 6:00pm.
