Cockburn & Red Dust Heelers join forces

Cockburn Basketball Association is delighted to announce that it is working with the Red Dust Heelers, who are one of the National Wheelchair Basketball League (NWBL) teams.

The two organisations have joined forces to work together to make Cockburn a flagship centre for wheelchair basketball. The aim is that during the SBL season Red Dust Heelers will be playing some of their games before the SBL women take the floor at Cockburn.

Over 30 youngsters from Cockburn joined in and got a taste for the speed, excitement and effort needed to play wheelchair basketball, one of the very few sports where disabled and none disabled people can compete together.

"We are very passionate about the community here at CBA and are striving to make the stadium and the association fully inclusive, regardless of situation or circumstance" said President Scott Harris.
