COVID19 UPDATE – BASKETBALL IN WA POST LOCKDOWN & REVISED NBL1 WEST ROUND 3 FIXTURES

Dear Basketball WA Community,

As detailed in our announcement yesterday, several post lockdown transition requirements have directly impacted all our Associations and clubs. These restrictions are in place until 12:01 AM Saturday 1 May 2021.

We expect a further Government announcement on Friday and will then liaise with our stakeholders and Associations on the plans moving forward.

At this stage, we are hopeful basketball will resume normal operations on Saturday with no additional changes to our NBL1 West and WABL fixtures. We understand this is a frustrating time for many members and supporters; however, we will do our best to keep you updated as we learn more.

Our REVISED* NBL1 West Fixture for Round 3 is below
*Subject to further Government guidelines

SOME THINGS TO NOTE:

• East Perth Eagles vs Perth Redbacks, scheduled for April 30th at 6:30PM (W) and 8:30PM (M) will be absorbed in the fixture at a later date

• The Geraldton Buccaneers will play their first home game of the season as the availability of Activewest Stadium is now available

• Nicole Jorre De St Jorre (Warwick Senators) will play her 400th game

• Aaron Ralph (Geraldton Buccaneers) will play his 400th game

• Ryan Godfrey (Rockingham Flames) will play his 250th game

• Week 2 fixtures that were previously postponed will be rescheduled and announced shortly

All games continue to be LIVE STREAMED Free via nbl1.com.au/west and the NBL APP

Our community’s safety and health are a priority, so we will continue to follow the latest guidelines and requirements.
