Everyone’s Game Carnival – June 21

The second Everyone’s Game Carnival for 2015 kicked off on the 21st of June.

The Carnival runs four times a year and specifically caters for athletes with physical and intellectual disabilities, who want to play basketball. The basketball games are played with modified rules and in the spirit of participation and fun.

The competition is held in a round robin fashion with teams from all over Perth competing against each other. The Carnival saw a total of 54 athletes competing in 8 teams from all across Perth. The Teams were divided into two divisions with games running for 15mins. The games were played with Great Spirit and Intensity. The conclusion of the day saw an All Star selected team and face off against the Coaches, with the All-Stars winning the closely fought game. After which there was an award ceremony for the individual medal winners.
