East Perth District Basketball Association (EPDBA) is pleased to advise that former WNBL Perth Lynx Player and current SBL Player, Liz Cooke has been appointed EPDBA Operations Manager.
The role of Operations Manager will involve amongst other duties a focus on administration and development. Liz will hit the ground running after she has completed a Community Coach Training Program being run by the Australian Sports Commission.
Liz Cooke, a mother-of-two and veteran of WA Basketball is looking forward to her new role within EPDBA.
“East Perth is a club with an excellent vision; I’m excited about being part of the club’s administration and development activities and assisting in the implementation of that vision to benefit all levels of the Club.” “I am also looking forward to working with the wonderful volunteers that make up this great club.”
During her career Liz played in the Women’s National Basketball League with the Perth Lynx (2006-08) and Perth Breakers (1995-96). Liz has also represented the State of Western Australian in various representative teams. She has previously enjoyed SBL championship success with Willetton Tigers and has also played with the Stirling Senators. Liz joined the Eagles at the beginning of this season and has settled in well, she is leading by example for the younger players in the Squad.
