Mike McHugh visits WA NITP
On 24 October 2012, Basketball WA’s National Intensive Training Program (NITP) received a visit from Mike McHugh (Basketball Australia’s National Manager of Player/Coach Education).
The NITP is a program designed to cater for the fundamental skill development of Australia’s most promising athletes. Mike conducted a training session with 36 athletes at the WABC. The session covered shooting, 1 on 1 offensive and defensive concepts, dribble handoff skills and receivers principles.
Mike also spoke to the squad about maintaining a good work ethic and the National Pathways that exist for athletes to make Australian Junior teams.
