Mirrabooka Basketball Drop In

MIRRABOOKA BASKETBALL DROP IN CENTRE

Objective:

To work in conjunction with external agencies and the youth to provide a healthy lifestyle through sport and recreation. To further develop a close relationship with Police, external agencies and the youth and decrease crime within the community.

Venue: Herb Graham Recreation Centre, 38 Ashbury Crescent Mirrabooka

Date: Commencing Thursday 9th of November 2017 every Thursday for 12 weeks.

Time: Between 4.00pm and 6.00pm

Ages: 10-17 years.

In conjunction with:

East Perth Basketball Association, Whitelion, Inclusions Solutions, Department of Communities, Child Protection and Family Support ,City Of Stirling ,Herb Graham Recreation Centre, W.A. Basketball Association, WA Police.

 

Brief run down on Program:

This is an open drop in centre for any youth aged between 10 and 17 years old who wish to play Basketball. The initial thought would be to play basketball and hopefully transition the youth into a local basketball club. Supervision will be supplied as well as coaches and staff to assist with the program. Possible transport maybe available dependant on numbers in attendance.

Coaching staff will be provided by East Perth Basketball Association to mentor and improve the skills of the attendees.

We hope to further develop the youth’s interaction with other kids and also provide a fun safe environment to exercise and have fun.

Clothing to be worn:

Strongly advised to wear a non-marking soled shoe and adequate clothes to run around in. Water bottle to accompany child if possible please.
