Noise Regulations Threatening Outdoor Courts

Exclusive Report – Basketball WA and Perth Wildcat Todd Blanchfield hits out about noise regulations threatening outdoor courts.
Basketball WA Deputy CEO Evan Stewart fears nearly every outdoor ring in the State will be torn down if a noise proposal from the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation is approved.
BWA’s draft submission argues against the regulation that only three per cent of WA community parks would be eligible for new basketball facilities, and 75 per cent of current rings already breach the guidelines.
It will mean there will be no outdoor basketball courts in Western Australia. There are no other guidelines like this anywhere else in Australia.
