Basketball WA is pleased to announce the addition of several staff members.

Vanessa Lock has been appointed to the position of Development Manager and will commence her duties on 10 May. Vanessa’s responsibilities will include assisting High Performance Coach/Manager David Herbert with various basketball development activities such as the Under 12 and 14 programmes, Regional Academy Programme and the delivery of BWA High Performance programmes.

Vanessa has represented New Zealand at age group level in basketball and is a qualified personal trainer with a wealth of experience in Event and Programme planning and delivery. In addition to this, she has a Bachelors degree in Recreation Management in Sport.

Alana Munnee has been appointed to the role of Special Projects/Lynx Administrator. Alana will also start on 10 May.

Alana has specific skills in Journalism and Public Relations and has a Bachelors degree in Mass Communication. She is an avid basketballer, playing twice a week and regularly attends NBL and SBL games.

Marion Weatherburn will begin in the Office Manager/PA to CEO role on 17 May. Marion has recently worked with Basketball WA in a relieving role for two weeks.

Marion has extensive experience as an Office Manager and will replace Cassandra Mason who is leaving to become a full time mum.
