The 2012 Smarter Than Smoking BWA State Championships nominations are now available for all BWA Affiliated associations.

The BWA State Championships are the only opportunity that all metropolitan & country associations are able to compete together.

Basketball WA has seen the competition grow significantly in the past two seasons in both regions.

There has also been significant growth in country participation the past few years with teams from Albany, Australind, Broome, Bunbury, Eaton, Geraldton, Karratha, Mundaring & Pinjarra participating in the past couple of years along with Country Cup & Pacific Slam teams also registering.

We have had record levels of participation recently with 230 teams in 2010 and 226 teams in 2011, the highest numbers in the 26 year history of the tournament. The dates for 2012 are:

• December 1/2 –Under 11 & Under 13 Boys/Girls
• December 8/9 –Under 12 & Under 15 Boys/Girls
• December 15/16 – Under 14, Under 17 & Under 19 Boys/Girls
