Basketball WA is pleased to announce the appointments of Head Coaches to the WA U20 State teams for the 2014 Australian Junior Championships to be held in Kalamunda from 16 – 22  February 2014.

Gary Cleeland (Willetton) has been appointed the Women’s Head Coach while Brad Samuelson (Rockingham) will take over the role of Men’s Head Coach.

Gary comes with an extensive coaching resume having previously been involved in State team programs in Victoria Metro as well as coaching at the strong Bulleen club in Victoria. His experience and high pressure style of play is sure to be embraced by next year’s team.

Brad was involved with the U20 State team program in 2013 as an Assistant Coach. He is sure to leave no stone unturned as gives the team the best opportunity to succeed in front of their home state.

Positions for Assistant Coaches and Team Managers will now be called for with expressions of interest required by Wednesday 4 September 2013.  Trial dates for the U20 Men’s and Women’s teams will also be confirmed soon.
