Basketball WA has recently learned of the unfortunate passing of Geraldton Amateur Basketball Association (GABA) Life Member Ruth Rogers.

Ruth has been a Basketball WA Scoretable official for 19 years and was awarded the Basketball WA Scoretable Official of the Year in 2011.

Ruth was a part of the GABA for many years as a player, referee, director, games controller and scoretable official for Geraldton Buccaneer games.

Through her involvement with Basketball Ruth has attended Country Championships as both a player and official. Last year Ruth also travelled to Italy in her first overseas trip with a joint Perth/Geraldton masters team.

Our thoughts are with Ruth’s family during this difficult time.
