WA athlete and Ivor Burge representative Kenneth Opoku has been named in the ten man Australian Boomerangs team.

The Boomerangs are in preparation for the 2015 Global Games and will play a friendly against Japan at the Under 20 & Ivor Burge Championships later this month.

Both Opoku and fellow Ivor Burge representative David Rulyancich were part of the squad that attended a camp to select the final team.

WA Men’s Ivor Burge Head Coach Chris Saligari also attended the camps and has supported both athletes through the selection process.

The game will take place on Sunday 1 March at Dandenong, Victoria with the Global Games set to take place in Ecuador in September.

We wish Kenneth the best of luck and will be following both Kenneth and David as the final team selections are made for the Global Games.
