Basketball WA is proud to announce the athletes selected for the 2026 Under 18 State Performance Program (SPP).
This year’s announcement comes ahead of the launch of Basketball WA’s 2025–2028 Performance and Pathways Strategic Plan, which will outline the next phase in building a connected, inclusive and high-performing system for athletes and coaches across Western Australia.
The 2026 SPP brings together some of the state’s most promising young athletes, each working towards selection in the WA Metro and WA Country Teams that will represent Western Australia at the 2026 Australian Under 18 National Championships in April.
Athletes have been selected from right across WA, from as far north as Karratha to as far south as Albany, highlighting the strength of basketball talent across the state and the commitment of players, families and coaches to pursue excellence no matter where they live.
In an exciting first, this group will also be the first to wear new-look uniforms reflecting Western Australia’s connection, identity and shared vision – set to be unveiled in the coming months.
Basketball WA congratulates all athletes and their families on their selection, and thanks the many associations, coaches and volunteers who continue to support their development. We look forward to seeing these athletes embrace the challenge ahead as they represent WA with pride.
