Basketball WA is pleased to announce celebrated Australian 3×3 Wheelchair coach Rob Pike will take the helm of the Perth Wheelcats Women’s team for the 2026 season.
Pike assumes the role with a wealth of experience spanning 20 years as both a player and coach. He has served as Head Coach of Australia’s Wombats 3×3 program and has extensive experience working with athletes in the WA pathway, through BWA’s junior program with the Belt Up Black Ducks, for the past five years.
Pike began his national league career in 2001 as a player with the Perth Wheelcats and Red Dust Heelers before transitioning to coaching, working alongside some of the sport’s most respected names, including current Rollers Head Coach Brad Ness and former Gliders Head Coach John Triscari.
