Following on from the Government’s announcement today, the Perth and Peel Regions will be in an Interim Restriction period for the next three days – from 12.01am Saturday 3 July until 12.01am Tuesday 6 July 2021, with all Indoor Community sports not permitted.

This will mean we will need to postpone NBL1 West Round 12 games and WABL Round 11 games, scheduled from Saturday 3^rd and Sunday 4^th July.

We will continue to work with our Associations to reschedule those fixtures and consider how basketball can proceed from Tuesday 6^th July and provide further information.

These guidelines are developed with the primary intention of ensuring good hygiene and restricting the number of people within stadiums at any one time to reduce the chances of person-to-person transmission of COVID-19. The following conditions will also apply:

• Masks must be worn at all times (unless vigorously exercising outdoors)
• Venues have a 20 person capacity at any one times.
• Venues will continue to be required to maintain a contact register for patrons. This will now be a shared responsibility between venues and patrons, and penalties may apply for failing to comply.

Our community’s safety and health is a priority, so we will continue to follow the latest guidelines and requirements.
