Basketball WA would like to congratulate Damian Lyons on his successful selection to officiate the Womens National League Grand Final on Sunday.

Lyons is one of the State’s finest and is highly regarded in both National and International circles- a regular on both WNBL and NBL referee rotations and also being one of the few FIBA International Badge referees in Australia.

Later this year, Damian will also fly out to Bulgaria to officiate at the FIBA Junior World Basketball Championships.

The WNBL Grand Final between Dandenong and Bulleen was a sell out at The Cage in Melbourne with the Dandenong Rangers running out deserved winners to seal the 2011/12 WNBL Championship.

Congratulations Damian on a terrific season capped with Grand Final recognition.
