Perth Wildcats Head Coach Rob Beveridge has been recognised for his achievements in high performance coaching at the inaugral Western Australia Department of Sport and Recreation Sports Coaches Awards on Friday night.
The Awards Dinner, conducted at the Duxton Hotel, allowed state sporting associations to recognise and nominate recipients for award categories as endorsed by the relevant State bodies.
For Beveridge, the accolades continue to flow after his success in leading the Perth Wildcats to the NBL championship.
Basketball WA Education and Training Officer Vlad Alava endorsed the Wildcat Coach as a more than worthy recepient.
"It was an easy decision to nominate and endorse Rob as our High Performance Coach of the Year. To lead a very young Wildcats team to victory in his inaugral season is a huge achievement and really highlights his ability as a coach and leader of elite athletes. We at Basketball WA would like to congratulate Rob and all our other worthy award and commendation winners for their deserved recognition."
