Len Ettridge was an amazing contributor to and advocate for basketball. His achievements were far reaching, and his dedication and passion added significantly to the sport.
This included:
- 1970-1980 – Multiple WA State Wheelchair Basketball Teams
- 1977 – FESPIC games wheelchair basketball and Track and Field
- 1980 – Paralympian (Basketball)
- 1990-2000 – State Country U18 Boys, State Metro U20 Women; Wanneroo Wolves U20 and Division 1 Champions; Willetton Tigers U20 Champions; SBL Assistant Coach Cockburn Cougars, Willetton Tigers and Mandurah Magic; Head Coach Perth Hornets NWBL (Prior to the Perth Wheelcats), Head Coach Cockburn Cougars Men’s SBL team.
- 2004-2009 – Assistant Coach Perth Wheelcats, 4 x National Champions and 1 x World Club Champions
Len enabled many basketball players and coaches and was well known and respected across the community. His ability to transcend being in a wheelchair were inspirational for many.
Len’s family and friends are in the thoughts of the Basketball WA team.
