Trial Dates for Under 18.
Under 18 SPP/state team: born 2008, 2009
Basketball WA is pleased to announce registrations for the under 18 State Performance Program (SPP) trials have now opened.
The State Performance Program is the first portion of state team selection and athletes wishing to represent Western Australia at the Australian Junior Championships must be selected in this program to be considered.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Eligibility for the SPP program will be determined by the athlete’s year of birth and residential address, not their association.
All athletes wishing to trial for the 2025 under 18 SPP program must be born in 2008 or 2009
METRO ATHLETES
Athletes trialling for the METRO STATE PERFORMANCE PROGRAM MUST have a current residential address located in the metropolitan area and be a registered Basketball WA member.
COUNTRY/REGIONAL ATHLETES
Athletes trialling for the COUNTRY STATE PERFORMANCE PROGRAM MUST have a current residential address that is classified as regional
Athletes that are located in the following regions are classified as COUNTRY athletes
If you have questions about the eligibility for a particular program, please contact Dan Donaldson (dan.donaldson@basketballwa.asn.au) prior to completing the registration form as registering for the incorrect program will not guarantee you a position at the trials

2024 UNDER 18 SPP CAMPS
At the conclusion of the SPP camps, the 2024 under 18 WA STATE TEAMS will be selected and start the team preparation for the under 18 Australian Junior championships.
